Two labourers electrocuted

FAISALABAD: Two labourers were electrocuted on Jhang Road on Thursday.
Arshad Ali of Saifabad and Boota Masih were boring for installing a water pump in the house of Nasir Ahmad when they received electric shocks and died on the spot.
DEMO: People on Thursday staged a demonstration against the District Jail officials for not allowing them to meet their relative prisoners.
They blocked Jail Road and shouted slogans against the jail officials. In the meantime, the jail high-ups reached the spot and they allowed them to meet the prisoners after negotiation.

Married woman abducted, gang-raped in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Five people abducted and raped a married woman here.
Abid Ali reported to Batala Colony police that his wife ‘W’ was going to a clinic for check-up when five people, including Ahsan, allegedly abducted her. The accused took the woman to an unknown place where they raped her. Later, the accused threw the woman in an unconscious condition in a park. Batala Colony police have started investigation.
