HARIPUR: An Afghan national was arrested for allegedly molesting and filming a boy in the limits of Kotnajibullah Police Station. According to the first information report (FIR), Rehmatullah,12, resident of Afghan Camp No 18, was coming home after offering the Asar prayers when Ameerullah, resident of the same area, allegedly dragged him to a deserted place and allegedly molested him sexually. The accused, according to the police, also made a video of the child and threatened him to spread it over the internet if he uttered a single word about the incident. The child, however, went home and narrated his ordeal with his parents. Medical reports have also confirmed the child’s molestation. The police later arrested the accused and registered a criminal case under section 377 and 511 of the Pakistan Penal Code against him. Meanwhile, body of a man was found in maize fields in village Akhun Bandi here on Thursday. An official of the Sera-e-Saleh Police Station said that a passer-by spotted the body of a man identified as Bilal Khan, resident of Akhun Bandi village, in the fields and informed the police. The police shifted the body to the hospital for autopsy.
