Eight more test positive for coronavirus in Nawabshah
NAWABSHAH: The coronavirus tests of 340 members of Tableeghi Jamaat are being conducted in Nawabshah. So far, eight of them had tested positive out of which five are foreign nationals.
Talking to The News, Deputy Commissioner Abrar Ahmed Jaffar said that tests of those at the quarantine centre, including nine foreigners from six countries are underway. He said that so far 8 people including seven of Tableeghi Jamaat tested positive for Coronavirus and were admitted at Isolation Ward of the Peoples Medical College Hospital.
He said following confirmation of positive cases at Tableeghi Markaz, all the 340 members were sent to Labour Colony Quarantine Centre, at Nawabshah and now their tests have commenced after completion of the 14 days mandatory incubation period in quarantine centre. Similarly, the DC said tests of those detected positive were re-tested after 14 days to confirm their Covid-19 status whether they are fit to be discharged from the hospital.
