LAHORE : Amidst the prevailing coronavirus pandemic scenario, world leadership, United Nations (UN) and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should take notice of the cruelties on the people of Indian-Held Kashmir (IHK) and Palestine, said Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, chairman, Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC).

In a message to the world leadership and UN, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi stated the people of IHK and Palestine had nothing to protect themselves against Covid-19 outbreak. He said they had no access to facemasks and hand sanitizer to protect themselves from coronavirus pandemic, adding that Indian forces were still violating the Line of Control ceasefire and had been continuing curfew and lockdown in IHK since the last eight months.

Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said the entire world was badly affected by coronavirus pandemic but Indian and Israeli aggression was still continued against the people of Kashmir and Palestine.

People of Palestine have nothing to protect themselves from Covid-19.

He said there was no news about Kashmiris after the outbreak of coronavirus.

In a letter to UN, world leadership and OIC, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi appealed to the world bodies to take notice of brutal atrocities upon the people of IHK and Palestine.

He said leadership of all the religions of world had also agreed that atrocities on humanity resulted in coronavirus outbreak in the world. Cruelties against the human race have invited the wrath of Allah Almighty and ongoing coronavirus could only be controlled by making an end to the cruelties and by supporting the oppressed, the PUC chairman said. He said Israel and India should put an end to the cruelties in IHK and Palestine adding that people of Kashmir and Palestine should be given right to plebiscite.
