OKARA: Six out of 15 candidates Tuesday withdrew their nomination papers from NA-144, Okara-2 by-elections.
According to Returning Officer Javed Iqbal Khattak, four candidates were allotted their party symbols for the by-election.
Ali Arif of the PML-N was allotted the symbol of tiger, Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna of the PTI bat, Sajjadul Hassan of the PPP arrow and Raza Bashir Sanguka of the Pakistan Awami Tehrik was allotted the symbol of motorcycle.
Independent candidates Mehr Abdus Sattar was allotted the symbol of pressure cooker, Fayyaz Ahmad Khan Ghori bear, Shahadat Ali Sipri cupboard, and Riazul Haq Juj was allotted the symbol of bucket.
Rana Ikram Rabbana, Rao Hassan Sikandar, Rao Khalid Mustafa, Tariq Chaudhry, Aslam Moghal Advocate and Shazia Ahmad withdrew their nomination papers.
