‘Biometric verification system
functioning in all police stations’

JHANG: DPO Adil Memon has said that biometric verification system is functioning in all police stations of the district to check suspected persons identification.
He said this while talking to media here on Tuesday. The DPO said that various steps were being taken to ensure peace in the district under the National Action Plan (NAP). He said that 5,412 people were checked during 321 search operations in different areas of the district while 21 FIRs were registered under various sections including Foreigners Act. He said that 10 points had been established at all entry and exit points of the district for checking of vehicles and suspected persons. He said that nine cases had been registered against owners and tenants of houses for not providing identification data.
