Nine officials involved in corruption cases arrested

GUJRANWALA: On the directions of the ACE director general, the ACE teams arrested nine officials involved in corruption cases here on Tuesday.
The ACE teams raided different areas and arrested Sub-Inspector Abdul Rashid, Asghar Ali, Umer Hayat, Sagheer Ali, Riazul Hassan, Buildings Inspector Yousaf Mughal, Patwari Muhammad Aslam and Muhammad Hayat.
PATWARI HELD: The ACE arrested a patwari for corruption here on Tuesday.
In an application to the ACE, Talib Hussain of Sambrial alleged that Patwari Naveed Anwar had been demanding Rs 25,000 bribe for approving his house map. ACE Circle Officer Rana Muhammad Ilyas along with Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Ashraf raided and caught the patwari red-handed while he was receiving bribe from Talib Hussain.
HUMAN SMUGGLER HELD: The FIA arrested a human smuggler on Kutchery Road on Tuesday.
The FIA, on a tip-off, raided an illegal travel agency and arrested Kashif. The FIA also recovered five passports and other documents from him. A case has been registered.
KILLED ON ROAD: A man was killed in a collision between two rickshaws at Noshera Virkan on Tuesday.
Irshad and Ishaq were trying to overtake when their rickshaws collided with each other. As a result, Ishaq was killed on the spot while Irshad managed to escape.
