FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Human Rights Wing Faisalabad vice-president Memoona Hussain has criticised the party leadership for awarding tickets to their favourites, relatives and like-minded candidates for the local government elections.
In a statement here on Tuesday, she said that the candidates, who had been given party tickets to contest the LG elections in Faisalabad, had their sympathies with the PML-N and they would join the PML-N after winning the polls. She said that the PTI leadership had ignored ideological workers while distributing the tickets. She said that the PTI would loose a large number of seats in the LG elections.
Hanging of disabled convict postponed

FAISALABAD: Sessions Judge Dilshad Malik has postponed the hanging of disabled convict Abdul Basit.
He has asked the government to clarify whether a disabled convict could be executed, who could stand on his feet, which is mandatory for hanging.
Woman, daughter abducted in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A woman along with her three-year-old daughter was abducted at Chak 210/RB, Khurrianwala.
Shehnaz Bibi and her daughter were on way home from the market when unidentified people abducted them. Police are investigating.
TWO SISTERS TORTURED: Two sisters were tortured over a minor issue at Chak 494/GB.
Nazia and Shazia were allegedly tortured by Riaz Ahmad and others. The accused also tore off their clothes. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
