Jaamat-e-Islami Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said the federal and provincial governments have failed miserably to provide ration to the needy people during the lockdown.
He said this while speaking at a press conference at the Idara Noor-e-Haq on Wednesday to review the situation due to COVID-19. He said the governments should take care of the needs of people who had been rendered jobless due to the coronavirus lockdown.
He urged the nation to support those who need help, and asked the governments to stop giving statements on media only, and start distribution of ration as soon as possible. He said the JI had been making every possible effort to help the needy people without the governments’ help. They had distributed ration to the people living in the far-flung areas. He warned that people would go out of control if the provincial government did not provide ration to them.
