JCP recommends confirmation of LHC judge

ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Tuesday recommended the confirmation of Justice Shakilur Rehman, Judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Lahore.
Meeting of the JCP for appointment of judges in the superior court was held here in the Supreme Court, chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed. It was learnt that the meeting recommended the confirmation of Justice Shakilur Rehman, Judge of the LHC, Lahore. The JCP was constituted under the 18th Amendment. The confirmation of Justice Shakil ur Rehman, recommended by the JCP will now go to the Parliamentary Committee which has the authority to approve or disapprove it.
