However, it has been communicated that league would not start as was earlier scheduled. Over 15 Pakistan top players are given contracts to compete in the league. It was the league where players earn good amount that helps them in fine touch throughout the year.”
Sarwar confirmed that there were growing doubts that the league might not be held altogether this season. “There are strong doubts that the league may not be held this season owning to growing threats of Covid-19. There was also a league scheduled to be held in England. However, even league there is highly unlikely. The ultimate sufferers would be kabaddi players”
He admitted that Pakistan leading players had been in high demand ever since Pakistan won the World Cup in Lahore. “We are the world champions as such our players are in high demand all over the world. After winning the Cup, we have witnessed more demands of Pakistan players for leagues around the world. We pray for early end to virus impacts so that our top players get their due.”
