Canadian Kabaddi League deferred
ISLAMABAD: Over 15 Pakistan kabaddi players, who were signed to play the lucrative Canadian Kabaddi League, have been told that the league has been deferred for the time being and may not be held this season.
Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) Secretary Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has confirmed that the league has been deferred.
“Canadian Kabaddi League is one of the most lucrative leagues which was set to start from mid May. However, it has been communicated that it would not start as was earlier scheduled. The players earn good amount from the league that help them in fine touch throughout the year.”
Sarwar admitted that the Pakistan players had been in high demand ever since Pakistan won the World Cup in Lahore. “We are the world champions as such our players are in high demand all over the world. We pray for early end to coronavirus impact so that our top players get their due.”
