HYDERABAD: An under-trial prisoner died of injuries sustained during a fight in a prison cell with an inmate at the Central Jail here on Monday. Assistant Prison Superintendent Tahir Shah said that Altaf Khaskheli suffered serious head injuries during a fight with Aqeel Baloch in Ward 8 of Barrack Number 2. He was immediately shifted to the jail hospital and later to the Civil Hospital where he died of his injuries. The Baldia police station has lodged an FIR on the complaint of the assistant prison superintendent against Aqeel Baloch. The deceased belonged to the Mirpurkhas district.
