Coronavirus cases reach six in Haripur
HARIPUR: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has reached six in the district, an official said on Monday.
Dr Sher Bahadur, in-charge of the Rapid Response Team of district Health Department, said that one positive case was reported from Muhalla Muslimabad of Khalabat Township where three cases had already surfaced. He said another case was reported from Ainpoor village in Sera-e-Nehmat Khan union council. The official said the coronavirus patient recently returned from Karachi while the patient from Khalabat Township came from Malaysia. He said that the two new positive patients were shifted to Haripur quarantine centre and their condition was stable. The official said that the family members of both the patients have been quarantined at home. Dr Sher Bahadur said that number of suspect cases have also surged to 86 in the district. However, he said that 42 people tested negative and the test results of some suspected patients were awaited.
