Medical stores selling fake drugs in Khairpur sealed

SUKKUR: The assistant commissioner of Khairpur conducted surprise raids on medical stores, centres of quacks, labs and hotels from where he recovered sub-standard medicines and even ones which had been manufactured by unregistered pharmaceutical companies.
The News learnt that Assistant Commissioner of Khairpur, Zeeshan Hanif, during surprise visit to hotels, found sub-standard oil and unhygienic environment. During the visit he imposed fine worth thousands of rupees and even sealed some medical stores.
The people of Khairpur expressed their gratitude to the officials of the district management over such actions and hoped that the drive against food adulteration and substandard medicines would continue.
