Five new positive cases reported in Sukkur region
SUKKUR: Five positive cases of coronavirus were reported from Ghotki, Larkana and Badin districts on Friday, while two doctors were also suspected to have acquired the infection. The first corona positive case was reported in Badin who was shifted to an isolation ward of Indus hospital. The patient is 35 years old and reportedly gone to Karachi a few days ago, where he contracted the virus. After confirmation, the family members of the patient were also put into quarantine and policemen were deployed outside their house.
Two members of Tableeghi Jamaat in Ghotki proved positive for the infection, out of 137 reported positive, while 10 more members of Tableeghi Jamaat were quarantined in Bhit Shah over suspicion of being contracting corona infection. It said two new coronavirus positive cases were also reported from Larkana, while 21 were declared negative after being tested. The DHO Larkana Syed Athar Shah confirmed receiving the samples of 36 patients from the BBMU Larkana quarantine which were sent to GIMS Hospital Gambat where two cases were reported positive, while two doctors also reportedly became suspects of coronavirus infection.
Meanwhile, the parliamentary leader of GDA and MPA, Barrister Hasnain Mirza, in his press statement expressed his grave concern over corona cases in Badin and appealed to the people to keep themselves indoors to save themselves and their families from the deadly virus. He requested the people to follow the instructions during the lockdown, adding that we all were trying our best to cooperate with the local administrations to fight the virus.
