Chitral mosques attract fewer worshippers

CHITRAL: Mosques attracted very few people for Friday prayers in Chitral amid the ongoing lockdown due to coronavirus. DPO Waseem Riaz told media that around 839 people offered Jumma prayers at mosques, which overall have a capacity for about 16600 people in both Lower and Upper Chitral. The Shahi Masjid attracted 35 faithful on Friday prayer while other mosques had around five worshippers each.
