Plea bargain in Nandipur case allowed

LAHORE:An accountability court Tuesday allowed plea bargain of an accused in Nandipur Power Plant furnace oil theft case. The NAB has moved the court seeking approval of plea bargain of one Akhlaq Shah contending that the accused was ready to plea bargain worth Rs1.3 million. The NAB stated that the Bureau chairman had approved the plea bargain. The court after hearing NAB’s plea approved the plea bargain of the accused. Akhlaq Shah and others were arrested on the charges of stealing furnace oil of Nandipur Power Project worth millions. The NAB had arrested many accused in this case.
