MULTAN: Traders on Saturday took out two rallies to express solidarity with the armed forces and to condemn the attack on the PAF camp.
The first rally was taken out from the Grain Market under the leadership of Khawaja Shafiq and Sultan Mehmood Malik. The participants shouted slogans in favour of the armed forces. They condemned the Peshawar incident and demanded action against those involved in it. Addressing the protesters, Khawaja Shafiq said that the terrorists could not bring down the morale of the nation through such cowardly attacks. He said that the incident had once again united the nation. The second rally was organised by the traders of Shaheen Market. Faisal Saeed and Arif Ansari led the rally.
Meanwhile, talking to newsmen, senior politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi condemned the attack on the PAF camp. He expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident. He also expressed sympathies with those injured in the incident and demanded the government provide all possible assistance to them.
