Quarantine centre Sukkur: 28 test corona positive after being declared negative during first testing
SUKKUR: Some 28 coronavirus positive cases were confirmed in Sukkur during their retesting that increased the toll to 297 on Sunday. Sources said the patients, who were tested before and declared negative, were being tested again and 28 patients were declared positive during their retest. The MS Civil Hospital, Sukkur, Dr Tasleem Ahmed Khamisani, confirmed that the administration had decided to put all 270 corona suspects, who were released 14 days ago from the quarantine centre, into quarantine. The MS said the situation in Sukkur was becoming bad after the suspects and coronavirus positive patients came out together from the quarantine centre to protest for the provision of facilities jointly. Meanwhile, it said 138 were declared negative and completed their quarantine period, came out of the quarantine centre to protest for sending them to their homes. Sindh Minister for Transport Syed Owais Qadir Shah has sent a message to them that all the arrangements were being finalised, so they should end their protest and allow the government to facilitate them according to promise. Meanwhile, 138 pilgrims were shifted to their homes and 69 new pilgrims from Taftan border had reached the quarantine centre in Sukkur.
