Man shot dead in Haripur

HARIPUR: A man shot dead a farmer over unknown reasons near Pind Gujran, police and eyewitnesses said here on Saturday.
According to officials of the Hattar Police Station, Tariq Mehmood of village Rani Wah was on the way to his home carrying a bundle of firewood on his head when Aurang Zeb of village Hattar intercepted him. The later opened fire on Tariq with 12 bore pistol, injuring him critically. The injured was shifted to a Trauma Centre in Haripur where he succumbed to his injuries, police said. The police claimed to have arrested the accused. The motive behind the murder was not known, police said.
