289,623 defective metres replaced

MULTAN: The Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has replaced 289,623 meters which were burnt due to rains and technical faults during the current fiscal year 2019/20 across the region. The company replaced 275,599 single-phase meters, 6,676 three-phase meters and 348 MDI meters. From July 2019 to February 2020, 32,917 meters were replaced in Multan circle, 29,172 in DG Khan circle, 24,984 in Vehari circle, 45,413 in Bahawalpur circle, 32,603 in Sahiwal circle, 33,772 in Rahimyar Khan circle, 41,114 in Muzaffargarh circle, 25,147 in Bahawalnagar circle and 15,501 in Khanewal circle.
