OKARA: Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Michael Kamran has said that the terrorists and persons involved in heinous and anti-state activities would not get any benefit or relaxation from the new Exit Control List (ECL) system.
Addressing a press conference at the Civil Rest House here on Friday, he said that changes in the ECL policy were not made to provide any benefit to Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf against whom cases were under trial in different courts. He said that the terrorists across the Line of Control or within the country would be dealt with iron hands.
The minister said that the container-famed politicians would not be allowed to continue their anti-democracy activities. He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and development of Gwadar Port was a question of life and death for Pakistan.
Therefore, the project would be accomplished at all costs, he added. PML-N MNA Mian Muhammad Moeen Khan Wattoo, DCO Qaisar Saleem and others were also present on the occasion.
The minister had arrived in Okara to participate in the Pakistan Christians convention at the District Complex Stadium. He was received at the stadium by thousands of Christians.
The Christian community prayed for the prosperity, integrity, solidarity and unity of the country.
