HYDERABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central spokesman, Maula Bakhsh Chandio, strongly criticised the prime

minister on Tuesday terming his managment of the coronavirus crisis as non serious and demanded of him to proceed on leave.

In a statement, the Pakistan People’s Party spokesman accused Prime Minister Imran Khan of displaying delayed and lop sided approach lacking in seriousness in addressing the coronavirus menace.

Chandio advised the prime minister to go on leave to allow the relevant organisations to address the crisis with a free hand and in a coherent manner.

He said when the Sindh government had decided to clamp the province-wide lockdown, the Prime Minister opposed the decision but on the very next day all the three remaining provinces decided to follow

Sindh and impose a lockdown. The spokesperson added that Imran Khan would have the compassion for the poor but he cannot take timely decisions.
