Hailstorm disrupts civic life, ruins crops in Sukkur

SUKKUR: Widespread rains and heavy hailstorm with gusty winds in large parts of Sukkur and Larkana caused power shut down and damaged the wheat crop ready for harvest on Tuesday.Heavy rains with hailstorm on Tuesday accompanied with gusts of winds caused power shutdown, massive traffic jams in Sukkur and Larkana districts as well as flooding various parts. The gusts also uprooted trees and advertisement boards. The untimely rains also damaged wheat crop that was about to be harvested. The local administrations was conducting actions to reinstate the civic life by rehabilitation works.
