Rs320m project of Cattle Colony Khairpur remains incomplete
SUKKUR: The Cattle Colony Khairpur project of Rs 320 million, which seeks to shift the cattle colony outside the city, has not been completed yet. Reports said the cattle colony project was initiated at a cost of Rs 320 million for shifting the cattle farms to out of the city, near village Mitho Mari and the authority was bound to complete it at the end of 2019 and handover it to the livestock department. But the project was not completed yet, while the executing agency demanded Rs264 million more to complete the project.
The livestock department confirmed that the same project in Umarkot was completed at a cost of Rs320 million. Livestock department officials said that chief minister’s inspection team found people had stolen the construction material after demolishing some sheds. Director Animal Husbandry Sindh Dr Ahtesham Rana said the scheme lacked seven water tanks and other facilities.
