Basit donates towards virus fund

LAHORE: Former Test cricketer Basit Ali has announced to donate his YouTube channel’s income to the Pakistani government to combat widely-spread coronavirus.

Basit Ali keeps on sharing his expertise on cricket related matters on his YouTube channel which has over 66,000 followers. “From today on-wards, I will be donating my YouTube channel’s earnings to the Pakistani government until we successfully beat coronavirus. It is a global crisis and we all are suffering through it. I have taken this initiative to play my role to help the government fight with this deadly disease,” he said in a video posted from his Twitter handle.

It must be noted here that the entire world is suffering through coronavirus. Several countries have locked down their cities completely to avoid further spread of this disease. Popular sports events around the world have also been postponed for an indefinite period.
