Bilawal proposes APC to evolve Covid-19 response
KARACHI: The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has started playing an active role to forge a national consensus on dealing with the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan.
He has contacted leaders of political parties on Monday to convene an all-parties conference (APC) on the #COVID19 pandemic. He phoned the leaders of the PML-N, Jamiat Ulema-e Islam, MQM Pakistan, PML-Q, Balochistan National Party (BNP) and Awami National Party (ANP).
Bilawal talked over phone with Shahbaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rehman,Pervaiz Elahi, Akhtar Mengal, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Amal Wali Khan in this regard. In conversations with them, he said that all political parties should be on the same page for evolving mechanisms and measures to deal with and contain coronavirus. The political leaders have agreed with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to convene the APC over video link regarding coronavirus.
