Man killed over minor issue in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A man was killed over a minor issue here on Thursday.
Umar Farooq and Pan shop owner Ali Raza Butt exchanged hot words with each other over some issue. In the meantime, Ali Raza’s friends Muhammad Usman, Imran, Malik Usman and Sheikh Usman allegedly opened indiscriminate firing. As a result, Umar was killed on the spot while his friend Abdul Basit was seriously injured. The injured man was shifted to the Civil Hospital.
After the incident, the parents and relatives of Umar staged a demonstration by placing his body at Saleemi Chowk. They also blocked the road for an hour. Later, they staged a demonstration at Zila Council Chowk and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits. Batala Colony police have registered a murder case against the shop owner and his four friends.
