Three accused’s plea to quash terror charges rejected

GUJRANWALA: Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Ch Imtiaz Ahmad on Wednesday rejected a plea of three accused to quash the terrorism charges in the murder case of MPA Rana Shamshad and his son.
The counsel for the three accused - Owais, Sabir Hussain and Shahbaz – also requested the judge to transfer the case to a civil court, which was also rejected by him. The court adjourned the hearing till September 23.
15 PRIVATE SCHOOLS SEALED: The district administration on Wednesday sealed 15 private schools for not paying commercialisation fee.
After the sealing of the schools, the Private Schools Owners Association took out a rally and chanted slogans against the district administration. The protesters demanded withdrawal of commercialisation fee. They demanded the district administration to de-seal the 15 schools.
