DERA ISMAIL KHAN: An official of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) was shot dead while a passer-by sustained injuries when gunmen opened fire on them in the limits of City Police Station on Thursday, sources said. They said that Saghir Abbas, a CTD official, was on his way home in Mohalla Gariban when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on him, leaving him dead on the spot. A passer-by identified as Lal Gul sustained injuries in the incident.
