Clinics, operation theaters and laboratories sealed in Swabi

SWABI: Taking quick and swift action, the district administration on Thursday sealed various clinics, operation theaters and laboratories of the private hospitals here in the district, sources told The News. The hospitals, laboratories and clinics had failed to meet the set medical criteria. They were not run by qualified staff, making the health care environment more dangerous, officials said.
When contacted, Deputy Commissioner Matiullah Khan said that the health raiding party was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Irshad Khan. It raided several health centres and laboratories. Our action would continue till the removal of quacks and unqualified staff, he said, adding that there operation would not be stopped till the meeting of outlined objectives.
