Two remanded in molesting case

BAHAWALPUR: A local court on Monday granted two-day physical remand of four accused, including main accused Shahbaz alias Shan alias Shani, to Baghdadul Jadeed police in a case of molesting a schoolboy.
According to IO Akhtar Ghalloo, the culprits had made video clips of the incident on their mobile phone. Later, they had called the victim to a Sheesha club and extorted Rs 30,000 from him for deleting the video. He said that the remaining accused would soon be arrested.
TWO KILLED: Two people were killed in as many incidents here. In the first incident, a motorcycle struck against a divider near Chowk Sawitra, Sadiqabad tehsil. As a result, an unidentified motorcyclist was killed on the spot while his friend was injured. In the second incident, Javed alias Papu of Bahawalnagar drowned when his motorcycle fell in Ford Wah Canal. The body could not be recovered till the filing of the report.
