PHF lethargy causes payments issue

KARACHI: The lethargic attitude of newly-appointed PHF president Khalid Khokhar and secretary Shahbaz Ahmed Senior is causing financial issues, sources told ‘The News’.
Well-informed sources said that after the resignations of Akhtar Rasool and Rana Mujahid, the signing authority has been transferred to the new president and secretary, but PHF has not yet completed formal procedures in this regard, which has stopped all payments.
The sources said that due to this the salaries of the PHF employees, both in Lahore and Karachi, have not been paid so far.
Khokhar was appointed president more than two weeks ago and has got PHF congress vote of confidence, but he is yet to visit PHF head office.
Shahbaz Sr is yet to get vote of confidence from congress. The PHF employees across the country have remained without their salaries, a source said.
