DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Reham Khan, the spouse of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, paid a visit to the Wildlife Park here on Monday.
District Nazim Azizullah Alizai, Deputy Commissioner Nisar Ahmed Khan, Divisional Forest Officer (Wildlife) Dera Ismail Khan Abdul Halim Marwat and DFO of Bannu Khan Malook and other officials received her at the park. More than 100 street children also gathered there.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that the street
children were forced to
work as child labour as their parents were either poor or dead.
She argued that the government was responsible for taking care of these children and they should be enrolled at the schools instead of working in shops and hotels.
DFO Abdul Halim Marwat said that the park should be extended with a vast space to accommodate more animals.
He said that charismatic animals including lion, tiger, zebra and others should also be provided to the park.
Earlier, she was taken around the park. She took a keen interest in the park and birds being kept in park. Later, Reham Khan planted a sapling there.
