PHA recovers Rs300m from marketing defaulters in Multan
MULTAN: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has recovered Rs300 million from marketing defaulters during the last couple of months, Assistant Director Marketing Hafiz Muhammad Usama told the agency on Thursday.
He said that the amount was recovered from different business points, which had not submitted advertisement fees fixed for their marketing panaflexis or billboards for the long time. He said that newly-appointed DG Afzal Nasir had conferred task to achieve maximum target of collecting advertisement fees till June 30. He said that for some cases, they had to seek police action to implement the order placed for collecting advertisement fees. Earlier, the PHA DG held a meeting with its marketing wing to review recovery process. He said that stability of the institution was correlated to collection of advertisement fees. He asked the staff concerned to work honestly and diligently. He directed them to employ all resources to improve capacity of the marketing wing. He also directed them to discover other sources of income as well along with improving the recovery target.
