Hockey matches organised to observe Kashmir Day

KARACHI: Olympian Ayaz Mahmood XI defeated Olympian Akhtar ul Islam Xl in the first of three matches organised by Olympian Islahuddin-Dr MA Shah Academy to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day here the other day.

Saad Asad was the man of the match. In the second match, played between female teams, Begum Rama Liaquat Ali Khan Xl beat Fatima Jinnah XI by 2 goals. The third match, played between MA Shah XI and Olympian Islahuddin Xl, both comprising seniors, ended in a 1-1 draw. Syed Faisal Raza and Shahzaib netted one goal each.
