KARACHI: World No 92 Angus Gillams from Scotland and World No 98 Farhan Mehboob of Pakistan have been replaced by Zahir Shah and Ali Bokhari in the main draw of CNS International Squash Championship being held in Karachi.
Unseeded Moustafa El Sirty from Egypt stunned eighth seed Chi Him Wong from Hon Kong 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 in 19 minutes on Wednesday.
Third seed Mazen Gamal from Egypt defeated unseeded Addeen Idrakie from Malaysia 9-11, 7-11, 11-8, 9-11 in 60 minutes.
Sixth seed Tsz Kwan Lau from Hong Kong beat Pakistan’s unseeded Amaad Fareed 5-11, 11-6, 4-11, 8-11 in 45 minutes.
Second seed Tayyab Aslam won against unseeded Farhan Zaman 11-7, 7-11, 5-11, 5-11 in 40 minutes.
Top seed Ivan Yuen from Malaysia thrashed Pakistan’s Israr Ahmed 11-5, 11-2, 11-6 in 22 minutes.
Fifth seed Asim Khan smashed Omar ElKattan from Egypt 11-8, 13-11, 11-6 in 29 minutes.
Fourth seed Henry Leung defeated Danish Atlas of Pakistan 11-2, 11-8, 11-7 in 23 minutes.
