Aqib clinches U18 singles title at McDonald’s National Tennis

KARACHI: Aqib Khan clinched the under-18 singles title at the 5th McDonald’s National Tennis Championships at DA Creek Club here.
Aqib of SNGPL overpowered Mahteer Mohammad 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 in the final.
In under-14 singles final, Hamid Israr beat Nadir Mirza 5-3, 4-0.
In the final of boys under-12 singles, Nadir Mirza thrashed Hamza Roman 4-0, 4-0.
In under-10 singles final, Zohaib Malik won against Nael Mirza 5-3, 0-4, 5-3.
In the final of 35-plus singles, Nomi Qamar beat Ali Zaidi 8-2.
In the final of seniors 35 doubles, the pair of Shamael Tajammul and Ali Mansoor defeated Nomi Qamar and Rafi Derbari 8-3.
