Aahil, Hoorwin table tennis titles

KARACHI: Aahil Shah and Hoor Fawad won men’s and women’s singles titles, respectively, at the Karachi Table Tennis Championship which concluded here at Islamia Club on Thursday.
In men’s singles final, Aahil defeated Arsalan Alvi 4-1, with the set scores being 11-9, 11-8, 7-11, 11-8, 11-6. Hoor got the better of Hareem Anwar 4-3 in the women’s singles final to wear the crown. The set scores were 7-11, 4-11, 11-4, 12-14, 11-4, 11-9.
The pair of Saim and Hareem overwhelmed Arsalan and Qurat Sakina 3-1 to win the mixed doubles title. The set scores were 11-8, 12-10, 16-18, 11-6. The pair of Arsalan and Saim secured men’s doubles title, whacking Usman and Salman 3-0 in the final. The scores were 11-8, 11-6, 11-6.
