Imran due in Hafizabad today

HAFIZABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan will arrive here on Sep 5 (today).
During his visit, the PTI chief will address a convention of farmers at the Municipal Stadium. The district administration has allowed the PTI leadership to organise the convention. Meanwhile, local PTI leadership has finalised all arrangements for conducting the convention in which farmers of six districts of Gujranwala Division will participate.
3 HELD FOR ARRANGING MARRIAGE FUNCTION AT GOVT SCHOOL: Vanike police on Friday arrested three people on the charge of arranging a marriage function at a government school of Channi Sultan village.
Local landlord Mukhtar Ahmad’s two daughters Baraat came at neighbouring village Channi Sultan where landlord Mukhtar with the connivance of school teachers sent the students to their homes after announcing holiday and decorated the school with colourful chairs and tents on day ago. However, when the matter came into the knowledge of the DCO, he suspended all staff of the school. On Friday, Vanike police registered a case against three people, including a teacher Khadim Hussain and landlord/father-in-law of grooms Mukhtar Ahmad after arresting them.
