Ashar, Taha, Kashan in McDonald’s National Tennis U18 second round

KARACHI: Ashar Mir, Taha Aman, and Kashan Tariq moved into the second round of under-18 singles at the 5th McDonald’s National Tennis Championship at DA Creek Club here on Tuesday.
In the first round, Ashar thrashed Rayan Ahmed 6-1, 6-0, Taha overpowered Asim Gul 5-7, 7-5, 6-3, and Kashan won against Abdur Rahim 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
In the first round of under-14 singles, Ali Mehdi got walkover against Ahmed Ahsan. In the first round of under-12 singles, Nadir Mirza beat Samer Zaman 4-2, 4-2 and Ibrahim Sajjad defeated Mikaal Piracha 4-1, 4-0.
