LHC accepts petition against Vawda

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has accepted a miscellaneous petition against Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda for regular hearing and ordered for fixing a date. LHC Chief Justice Mamoon Rasheed took up Aman Taraqqi Party Chairman Faiq Shah’s application on Monday and ordered for fixing it for regular hearing. The counsel for Faiq Shah, Advocate Mian Asif, had submitted a petition for disqualification of Vawda. The petitioner said: “The move made by Vawda defamed the image of prestigious institutions.”
