A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Gulzar Ahmed, heard the case.
The CJP posed a question during the course of hearing how the KP government system was being run and what treatment should he suggest for it. During the course of proceedings, the CJP observed that the court could not accept the justificationof delay due to lack of coordination among the institutions. All officers intentionally used delay tactics in court matters, he added.
KP Additional Advocate General said the delay was intentionally made in the cases pertaining to property, while in the current service matter, it was due to lack of coordination among the departments.
The court directed the KP advocate general to investigate the matter and take stern action against those found responsible for the delay. The apex court also dismissed the pleas on account of being time barred and ordered the AG office to recover the money.
