‘Okara Police taking measures to protect lives of masses’

OKARA: District Police Officer Umar Saeed Malik on Sunday paid a surprise visit to the City Depalpur police station and checked the front desk and other relevant record.
Talking to the journalists, the DPO said that the police were taking all possible measures to provide protection to the people. He said that patrolling had been increased an open courts were being held in the mosques and far-flung areas in this regard. He told that establishment of the Citizen Police Liaison Committees, attachment of Lumbardars with police as cooperators and enforcement of Theekri Pehra System were the measures being taken.
