‘Artificial shortage of flour in Gujranwala not to be tolerated ’
GUJRANWALA: Commissioner Zahid Akhtar Zaman has said that artificial shortage of flour will not be tolerated in Gujranwala division.
Addressing the video link conference here on Sunday, the commissioner supply of flour at fixed rate must be ensured by the deputy commissioners and field officers of the division. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar while taking notice of news regarding artificial shortage of flour had ordered a massive crackdown on such elements involved in hoarding of flour. He said that the Punjab government had set up toll free helpline number 080060606 for lodging complaints regarding unavailability of flour.
The commissioner warned of strict action against the concerned officers for not giving top priority to the flour situation in their respective areas and urged the deputy commissioners to monitor the situation very closely and take immediate action where needed.
