Four die in Mingora as newly- constructed plaza falls on house
MINGORA: Four persons, including two children, died and two others injured when the roof of a house collapsed after a newly-constructed building collapsed and fell on it here on Friday. According to the police, six persons were trapped under the debris of whom four were found dead while two were pulled out from the rubble in an injured condition. The dead were identified as three-year old Zarak, five-year old Khwara, 30-year old Shama and 38-year old Inayatullah. The two injured 35-year old Nadia and 7-year old Jamshed Ali were shifted to a hospital in a critical condition. The police sources said that Inayatullah had already informed the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) authorities about the low quality material used in the construction of the commercial plaza. The police lodged the first information report under sections 322, 427, 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code and arrested the owner of the plaza Rahmat Ali and the contractor Muhammad Afzal.
