Narrow win for world snooker champ Asif
ISLAMABAD: World snooker champion Mohammad Asif edged out Babar Masih 62-61 in an exhibition snooker match at the Pakistan Sports Complex Hall Thursday.
The match was played on the occasion of prize distribution ceremony of different age category national events held at the venue.
Irshad Qureshi won the Masters Category beating Zafar Iqbal 4-3. Kamran Chaudhary was the under-18 champion while Imran Khan returned under-21 champion.
Kuninori Matsuda, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan was guest of honour and distributed prizes amongst winners of the different events.
Islamabad Billiards and Snooker Association president Senator Dr. Shahzad Waseem was also present. More than 200 players participated in different categories of snooker national events at the Pakistan Sports Complex Hall held over the last two weeks.
