Man killed, two injured in firing on car

GUJRANWALA: A man was killed and two others were injured by the firing of unidentified people at Aziz Bypass on Monday.
Hamid Butt and his friends Aslam and Arif were on their way when unidentified people opened fire on their car. As a result, Hamid was killed on the spot while Aslam and Arif were injured. The injured friends were shifted to the DHQ Hospital from where Aslam was referred to a Lahore hospital in a critical condition.
It is learnt that there was an enmity between Hamid Butt and Mehmood Butt groups over a bus stand. Aroop police have registered a case and started investigation.
Two accused remanded in MPA murder case

GUJRANWALA: Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Chaudhry Imtiaz Ahmad on Monday granted physical remand of two accused to police in the MPA murder case.
The accused are Abu Bakr and Naveed. The counsel for three other absconded accused - Shahbaz, Awais and Naveed - filed a petition for abolition of terrorism charges against them. The investigation officer told the court that raids were being conducted to arrest the three accused.
