Woman raped by ex-husband, three friends

FAISALABAD: A woman was raped by her ex-husband and his three friends here on Monday.
Rizwan Ahmad had divorced his wife Shamim Bibi of Chak 569/GB sometime ago. After the divorce, Shamim contracted second marriage with a man. On the day of the incident, Rizwan and his three friends allegedly abducted Shamim and raped her. Later, the accused threw the victim in the sugarcane fields. Police have registered a case.
WOMAN DIES ON ROAD: A woman was killed and her son injured in an accident near Shahkot Bypass on Monday. Aftab Ahmad of Ramgarh and his mother Ramzan Bibi were coming to the city when their motorcycle slipped on the road. As a result, they were injured. The injured were shifted to a hospital where Ramzan Bibi died.
LINEMAN ELECTROCUTED: A lineman was electrocuted near Novelty Bridge on Samundri Road on Monday. Imtiaz Ahmad was working on an electric pole when he touched a live wire. As a result, he received an electric shock and died on the spot.
